1. Duct tape for Pet Hair Removal

Duct Tape has got another potential use, that is, for cleaning purpose. You no longer require keep on using vacuum for removing pet hairs from sofa or carpet. The stickiness of duct tape will do this job.

You can use it for the seats of your cars too. If you want to clean the corners, simply apply duct tape to a piece of cloth and get your corners hair-free.

The easiest way to use duct tape is by applying it on a paint roller, keeping the sticky part outside. Just roll the paint roller over your carpet, seats and sofa and all pet hair will stick with the duct tape, leaving your furniture clean. Keep on changing the tape if the furniture is full of hair.

2. Baking Soda as Saviour

Pet beds can have a very foul smell that does not go away even if you wash the bed cover again and again. Next time, when you are going to wash the bed covers simply add a cup of baking soda along with a mild detergent (should be dog safe) in hot water and all odors would go away. It will also kill the bacteria and other allergens present in it.

3. Emergency Stain Remover

An effective stain remover can be prepared from kitchen ingredients that will not only remove stain but will also keep odor away. Just mix half a bottle of vinegar with water and add 4 heaped teaspoons of baking soda in it.

Store the solution in a spray bottle and spray whenever your pet does anything that leaves stain and odor.

4. Deep-Clean Pet’s Collar and Toys

Pet owners tend to ignore the cleanliness of dog collars and toys, though they are the things that get dirty and smelly quickly, so the best way to clean them properly is deep soak.

Soak the collar and toys in a bowl filled with dog shampoo for at least 30 min. and then rub them against itself so that dirt gets extracted.

Now wash them under cool water and pat them dry with a towel. This will help to keep both your house as well as your pet clean and smell-free.

5. Vinegar as Deodorizer

One of the best methods to remove smell and stains from the carpet is the use of white vinegar. This product, which is easily available in every kitchen, does wonders when it comes to deodorize pesky smells of pets.

Simply spray the white vinegar from spray bottle on the stain in such a way that the stain does not get soaked. Let the area become dry. After some time, vinegar will soak up all the smell and the area will be smell-free.

6. Brush your Pets Regularly

All pet owners mostly face challenge of managing the hair of pets. Most of the breeds of dogs shed hair which makes it tough for the owner to keep the house clean.

The best way to handle this situation is to brush your pet regularly. Brushing will help to decrease the number of hair they shed. For cat owners, it becomes more important as brushing helps to keep them away from certain health issues.
